"He just popped a cap in it."

Proper Inflection: "Pop a cap in it!" ("it" is usually referring to "yo ass")

Talking about a recent visit to the dentist, I overheard a girl say that she needed to have a broken filling fixed. After determining that another filling probably wouldn't last long, the doctor made an alternate choice. She summed up the story by saying, "So, he just popped a cap in it."

Example of intended use:
So you'd better grab a gat and pop a cap in they black ass
And let loose the whole clip
And let these motherfuckers know that you ain't taking no shit.

"I Gotta Get This Paper!"

Proper inflection: "I gotta-get-this paper!"

Making her way through another weekday workin' for the man, one of our moderators was performing her daily desk routine when her InkJet warned that she was out of paper while trying to print out a Word document. While she was walking out the door to hit the office supply store, her boss asked her to run another errand while she was out. She replied,
"No problem, but I gotta get this paper first."

Example of intended use:
I get my paper on my block
I get my paper from my block
I get my paper all the time
I keep tellin' you

Now we convicted felons, because they caught us sellin'
And nine times out of ten your friend the one who tellin'
I wanna go to Heaven, up to that Promised Land
I need another chance, I wanna meet that man
Money my motivator, my mouth my money maker
No I don't see you haters, so let's go get this paper

Proper inflection: "From the windooooow to the wall!"

*Our first online submission!* A friend recently moved to San Francisco and had to measure a few spaces in the crib before heading off to Ikea to buy some ish. She caught herself saying to her boyfriend, "Hey babe, could you measure from the window to the wall."

From the window to the wall
'Til the sweat drips down my balls
'Til all the bitches fall
Ya'll skeet skeet mo'fucka

"It So Hard to Back This Thing Up."

Proper inflection: "Its SOOO hard to back this thang up."

One of our moderators was exchanging her Blackberry for a new one at the Verizon store. One of the many problems with the Blackberry was a broken port that did not allow it to sync to the computer. When the tech specialist asked if she had backed up her data before giving her the new PDA, she stated "Its SOOO hard to back this thing up".

Example of intended use:
Girl, you looks good, wont you back that thang up
Youse a fine motherfucker, wont you back that thang up
Call me big daddy when you back that thang up
Hoe, who is you playing with, back that thang up
Girl, you looks good, wont you back that thang up
Youse a fine motherfucker, wont you back that thang up
Call me big daddy when you back that thang up
Girl, who is you playing with back that thang up
Girl, you looks good, wont you back that thang up
Youse a fine motherfucker, wont you back that thang up

You Wanna Get Up On This?!

Proper inflection: "youwannagitupAWNthis???"

The inaugural example of accidental hip hop occurred at a lake in Western Pa. One of our moderators' mother offered her father a raft she had been using by asking "You wanna get up on this?".

Example of intended use:
"The good shit on up
That's why ya'll ni**az want it
No need to perv
Cuz you wanna get up on this
Especially when it's hot and it's tight
The mood is right
So come inside my love"
